brand facts

  • In 2015, as a lead clinical psychologist in the NHS, Dr Nick Taylor experienced first hand the challenges faced by highly pressured frontline staff. He discovered that, by combining clinical science with corporate wellness, organisations could help employees to realise the benefits of proactively nurturing their mental health, in turn addressing key productivity challenges for employers.
  • A year later, Nick formed a team including corporate wellbeing practitioner, Steve Peralta, and built an app and platform to help employees measure, understand and improve their mental wellbeing
  • Today, Unmind is the leading workplace mental health platform, empowering more than 2.5 million employees around the world to live more fulfilling and balanced lives.
  • Uber, Virgin Media, Sainsbury’s, Gymshark,, John Lewis & Partners and the NHS are some of the many organisations that have partnered with Unmind to create a world where mental health is universally understood, nurtured and celebrated.

Our journey with Unmind

True was Unmind's first institutional investor in 2016. We saw a great founding team, operating in a space that we could see would have enormous growth based on current consumer and commercial trends. We've continued to support Unmind in subsequent funding rounds, and we believe so much in the business that we've made the tool accessible to all of True's employees, as well as those brands we have a majority stake in too.
