Born and raised in West Sussex, Poppy’s a country girl at heart and grew up playing sports (very) competitively. As her knees declined, she swapped the court for London’s playground and has had a colourful career ever since. She’s worked in construction, supported small businesses at notonthehighstreet and, prior to True, was at Ann Summers.
True is wildly ambitious, and doing things differently from other firms out there. I just had to be part of it.
I juggle, spin plates and work magic to make the impossible, possible. It’s a bit like the circus but without the clowns!
I love that no day is the same. At True I can add heaps of value across the business and to our community too — the very busy diaries keep me on my toes!
Dyson — who knew a vacuum could be sexy?!
I’ve been very lucky to have met so many inspirational and influential people, but if I have to choose one, it would be Mum. She has always taught me to work hard and be kind to people.
Poppy’s expertise at True:
Poppy is the lifeblood of the community, helping to bring it together through our events and True House. She also provides seamless support to our Executive Chair and Portfolio MD as their Senior EA.
This October, our team was finally able to meet in person for a few fun-filled days of getting to know each other — and our new brand — a little better.
Hiring in experts from across the consumer industry supports our mission to reimagine the investment industry. That was one of many reasons for hiring Ella d'Amato, former CCO and CMO of Not on the High Street as True's new Investment MD and CMO.
