Why did you choose True?

I love the entrepreneurial energy, passion in the team and the opportunities that can be generated within a rapidly growing business.

How would you describe your job to a five-year-old?

I help people make new and better flavours of ice cream.

What do you love most — and least — about your job?

For me it’s all about creativity, pace and working with great businesses. Least? Saying no is always hard.

Name an idea or company that reimagined a business or industry — one you wish you’d thought of.

Those entrepreneurs who are innovating to solve humankind’s big problems, such as climate change and pollution, have my utmost admiration and respect.

Which person or people helped shape and inspire who you are today?

Curiously that would have to be my old geology lecturer who has now passed away. Yes, I did a degree in geology and a PhD in landslides.
