Fluus (previously called Planera) is a London-based personal hygiene company that sets out to make it easier for people to live sustainably. Planera has developed the world’s first and only certified flushable and biodegradable sanitary pad – giving consumers a guilt-free sustainable and disposable solution to managing their period.

- Fluus are the only sanitary pads that can be safely flushed down the toilet - their product has UK flushability certification.
- Founded by Dr Olivia Ahn and engineer Aaron Koshy, who weren’t happy with companies forcing the responsibility for waste onto consumers.
- Olivia was shocked when she learnt even pads that were biodegradable were still ending up in landfill. She wanted a product with no permanent waste.
- The co-founders met at Imperial College, in their first year. They lived together in their final year and a conversation between the two of them around the complexity and issues of periods started the journey of Fluus.
