Mishipay is a retail payment technology that's making the checkout till a thing of the past. It allows people to find something they like, scan its barcode, pay via smartphone and be on their way. Radio-frequency identification (RFID) and cloud computing means seamless integration and theft prevention.

  • Mishipay's CEO and founder is Mustafa Khanwala. He came up with the concept when he was waiting in a queue at a supermarket for 20 minutes in the summer of 2015 to buy a single can of soda. He felt there should be an easier way for customers and stores to pay.
  • In February 2019 both Mustafa and Tanvi were named on Forbes' ‘30 Under 30’ list.
  • By the start of 2021 MishiPay was live in hundreds of stores across 13 countries.

Shoppers Spend 14% More with MishiPay Scan & Go Tech

Analysis from one of Europe’s largest grocery retail chains showed that shoppers using the MishiPay Scan & Go platform came back to buy 33% more often, whereas non-MishiPay users came back 4% less often than the year before. MishiPay is the first scan and go provider worldwide to release data from a case-study based upon a clear A/B test.
